7X24 Exchange Lone Star Chapter Purpose, Guidelines, and Operations
Purpose: 7X24 Exchange Lone Star Chapter members are intended to supplement and extend the 7X24 Exchange Lone Star Chapter's mission -- To be the leading knowledge exchange in Texas among those who design, build, use and maintain mission critical enterprise information infrastructures aiming to improve end-to-end reliability by promoting dialogue among these groups.
Guiding Principles: To create effective and efficient dialogues among those who design, build, use, and maintain 7x24 enterprise information infrastructures.
- The importance of 7x24 information infrastructures will increase as globalization and electronic commerce intensify the demand for round-the-clock business operations.
- Achieving End-to-End reliability requires concerted efforts, open dialogue, and interrelated actions between Users and Vendors in all involved functions.
- Open dialogue is based on trust derived from shared personal/face-to-face experiences.
- Sharing ideas, experiences, approaches, and knowledge of tools and techniques, often requires confidentiality.
- Technologists often lack the time needed to effectively “document” their ideas/experiences.
